MATERIALS 115 At DEDON, we’re specialists in more than just fiber and furniture production. Our expertise extends to outdoor living spaces of all kinds, from covered ter- races to sandy beaches, sun-soaked poolsides to extreme wilderness. Each of these settings requires the right materials, of course. That’s why we select teak, fiber, aluminum, ceramics, upholstery, ropes, woven textiles and sling fabric to suit the individual needs of every collection and its context. To ensure highest-quality materials of all kinds, DEDON works exclusively with suppliers who share our passion for excellence. Our beautiful slow-growth teak, for example, is sourced only from certified sustainable plantations in Indonesia. Our rope, up- holstery and ceramics come mainly from traditional Italian producers. For our luxurious fabrics and sling materials, we collaborate with carefully chosen ateliers in Italy, Belgium and the US. To complete our range of surfaces and offer the widest styling possibilities, we use HPL, glass and powder coatings in a carefully selected range of colors and finishes. But whatever the material, whether raw or refined, we ensure the same standards of quality that we apply to our own DEDON Fiber. The highest.
